Joshua Hikes into the Mist Pt 4: Joshua and Feryn
Joshua became used to the constant pull, he could never quite ignore it completely, but he could live with it. He went about his life, working in customer service, taking lunch time walks, weekend hikes – he deliberately stayed away from a certain valley.
Mornings would find him jogging through city streets, and
some mornings he’d swear he’d see wisps of fog form around him, and he’d hear
voices or feel a hand touch him, but then the next step he’d be in full sun as
he jogged his morning miles. He knew he
was going crazy and yet he also knew it was all too real.
He wasn’t afraid of Feryn or the bond, necessarily, more so
of the pull it seemed to have on him.
Feryn had said they could break the bond, but what would that do to him?
And did he want it broken. Feryn was his as much as he was Feryn’s, and he
wasn’t sure he wanted that to end.
Fucking magic, he though to himself, in fact, he shouted it
out loud many times over the ensuing weeks.
It was one of those days that he found himself jogging
through the streets, cursing the magic, the bond, cursing that he wasn’t with
Feryn, cursing the need to be – in the distance he could feel amusement and
also some frustration. Lost in these
thoughts, he wasn’t paying attention to his surroundings and jogged into
oncoming traffic. The car hit him,
square on, and sent him flying across the intersection, then he was hit again
by oncoming traffic, that he survived was a small miracle.
He lost consciousness but in his last fading awareness he
sensed distress, fear, anger, and he felt Feryn. He felt Feryn coming. Then he
felt nothing for several days.
His first awareness was Feryn. He was close, very close. He reached out, with his thoughts and felt a
warm embrace, if such a thing was possible with a thought. Still, he felt it. It warmed him, relaxed him. He almost went back to sleep, held in that
warmth. Then he slowly opened his eyes. Sunlight spilled through the window
beside his bed. He tried to move, to sit
up but found he couldn’t. He couldn’t move, couldn’t feel his legs, his
arms. He started to panic, and again he
felt that warm hug in his head. He was alone in the room, but he wasn’t alone,
he knew it. Even though he couldn’t see Feryn he knew he was here, close, maybe
just a handspan away. He could feel concern there, he could feel the love, a depth
of which he’d never known, and he found that he needed it, wanted it.
He didn’t exactly relax then, but he wasn’t panicked any
longer. He couldn’t move, he tried to be logical, to explore his body with his
mind, what could he feel, what couldn’t he feel? After a few minutes he gave
up. A nurse came in then, to check up on him.
She noticed he was awake and aware. At the same time, Joshua noticed
that Feryn receded, he was less present.
“Good afternoon, Joshua, how are you feeling?”
“What happened?” he asked.
“You were in an accident, you were hit by a car, several
cars actually.”
“Why can’t I move?”
“You’re in traction,” she replied, “Let me get the doctor
and he can update you on your condition.”
She left then, after checking the machines and making some
notes on the patient chart clipped to his bed.
A few minutes later the nurse returned with a doctor in tow.
“Welcome back, Joshua,” she opened, “How are you feeling?”
“Confused, scared a little, trapped,” Joshua spilled out.
“What’s wrong with me?” he finished.
“Well, the good news is that there is no permanent damage,
both your legs were broken and you have fractures in both arms – you’re
immobilized as we had to set everything and you need to remain still to let the
bones heal.” The doctor checked her own notes then looked up, “Once they’re
set, you’ll have to undergo some physiotherapy to restore your range of motion,
but you should make a full recovery.
You’re a lucky man, Joshua.”
“If I was a lucky man, doc, I wouldn’t be strapped to a
bed.” He tried to laugh it came out a little sad.
“Well, nevertheless the prognosis is good, it’ll just take
some time. I’ll check back later. Let the nurse know if you need anything.” And
with that she sailed out the door. After
that, he was a life-size doll for the nurses to play with, a male nurse gave
him a sponge bath, another helped him with the bed pan, another still fed him,
brought him drinks to sip via a straw, meds were offered and taken.
And through it all, Feryn was there, just a step away, a
step Joshua couldn’t take.
He dozed and dreamed of hugging Feryn, kissing his long lean
body, being kissed in turn, he new if he could take a step, that step would
bring him back to that brook in the valley. He fantasized about it, wished for
it but he was not able to take that step. The pills kicked in and he slept.
When he woke it was the middle of the night and a figure
loomed over him. A figure he knew, one
he’d know anywhere.
“How are you here?” he asked.
“You needed me beloved; I could not stay away.” Feryn
replied.
“Still, you’re here? In the human world? I didn’t think you
could do that.”
“It’s not something we do often but we do when required.”
Feryn looked into his eyes.
“This bond between us, it’s strong, Feryn,” Joshua offered,
“It’s distracting, and it scares me. The last thing I remember is jogging and
feeling you there in my head and heart and the next thing I know I’m here.”
“Do you regret the bond, beloved?” Feryn asked.
“Sometimes, yes, sometimes I do,” Joshua closed his eyes and
tried to roll his head away but couldn’t move much due to the traction.
“If you do not want the bond, beloved, we can sever it. It will hurt us both a great deal and in your
present state, I don’t know that you would survive the truncation.”
“Truncation?” Joshua asked.
“Yes, it like truncating a line, a chain, it must be
truncated to create an end point. It’s a mental thing but also a physical thing
and there will be pain – emotional and physical. I should not have allowed the bond, but somehow,
I don’t feel I was given a choice in the matter. I was drawn like a moth to a
flame.”
“Yes,” Joshua paused to thing about the analogy, “I feel the
same way, I was not given a choice.”
“If,” Feryn seemed to stumble over his words, “If you want
to sever the bond I will begin the process. It may be better for us in the long
run, if you truly do not want this.”
“I don’t know what I want, I just wish I could get out of
this bed and wrap you in my arms, I know that much.” Joshua sighed heavily.
“Then why don’t you” Feryn asked.
“What do you mean?” he asked, “I’m strapped in with broken
limbs I couldn’t move if I wanted to.”
“Ahh,” Feryn smiled at him, “That is because you rely on
mortal medicine, and they just don’t know what they’re doing most of the time.”
As he spoke, he smiled and pulled a small jar from his clothes and uncorked the
vial. Joshua could smell peat, mint,
soil, and, overall, a wet forest smell.
Feryn dipped his fingers in the jar, and they came out
covered in a salve which Feryn rubbed on Joshua’s limbs, where it wasn’t
covered with a cast – across both arms and then both legs, then again across
his torso. The salve tingled and there
was a greenish glow and then his arms and legs flared to life. He could feel everything, there was a sharp
pain, a snapping feeling then he could flex his whole body. He felt alive and
invigorated.
“What is that?” he asked excitedly.
“Just some elven lore. One that humans would not understand
or accept if they knew about it.”
As he spoke, he began to undue the restraints binding Joshua
to the bed.
“Stand, beloved,” Feryn said.
Freed from the binding restraints, meant to keep his limbs
still while he healed, Joshua sat up, he flexed his arms, felt his legs,
stretched. There was no pain at all, no
discomfort, it was like he’d just woken from an invigorating nap.
Feryn took his hand and Joshua stood tall. not as tall as
Feryn, but tall and he didn’t even sway.
“Come beloved, we must leave.”
“Leave?” asked Joshua, “Why?”
“Because your human doctors will not understand your
recovery and you will become an oddity to them, and they will feel that you
need to be studied. Take my hand, if you would come with me, and avoid that
fate.”
Joshua hesitated for a few moments then took Feryn’s hand
and stepped closer to him. A fog formed
around them and suddenly the hospital was gone, they stood in a forest glade,
sun dappled down through the leaves above them; beneath their bare feet, leaves
made a soft trail. They were both naked. Joshua was no longer covered in casts
or bandages.
“Where are we?” Joshua asked, as he felt his body, running
hands over limbs he couldn’t even feel a few minutes before.
“We’re in my lands, some distance from our glade,” Feryn
gestured off to his right, “Let us walk.”
Feryn held out his hand, Joshua took it again and they began
to walk. As they walked, without
consciousness, Joshua found his cock growing, he was soon fully hard, his cock
bouncing and waving in front of him as he walked. He looked down at himself and then over at
Feryn who was equally hard.
He couldn’t explain it, he couldn’t explain anything, but he
was hard in a forest with Feryn and he knew he was where he needed to be. He let go of Feryn’s hand and he wrapped his
fingers around the long hard shaft that Feryn was sporting. Feryn did the same and together they walked,
each other’s cocks in hand, the forest around them was still.
Feryn stopped walking and they turned to look into each
other’s eyes. They each began to stroke
the cock in hand. Joshua could hear the forest
around them, alive with voices now. “They’re back, they’re here.” He
heard. He felt lifted, not physically
but elevated by these voices, supported by them. Together, Feryn and Joshua lowered themselves
to the ground, a bed of leaves formed under them, soft and warm in the dappled
sun. They moved into a deep kiss, hands
now caressing bodies, their cocks so hard that they almost hurt. The need in each of them was strong.
Feryn rolled Joshua over and pinned him to the ground he
lifted up and stared down into the hazel eyes beneath him, flecks of brown,
green and gold radiated from them, the entire forest captured in a glance. The
brown of the trees, the green the fauna and the golden dappled sunlight and
Feryn knew that this human was a creature of the forest he belonged here, and
he knew that he belonged with him. Joshua stared up into Feryn’s sea blue eyes,
they captured the babbling brook, the rivers, and the seas, as well as the very
skies above them. There was depth and mystery
in them. And they held him in a prison
of desire.
Their faces came together, and they kissed again, Feryn
moved down Joshua’s body, kissing and licking, biting where he could, small
nips, nothing painful, each nip turning Joshua on even more, if that were
possible, and if you’d asked, he’d have said it wasn’t. But then nothing about this was possible.
And then he thought of nothing else, as Feryn’s mouth
enclosed his cock. He was so hard, the need so strong he almost shot in the
instant the warm, wet mouth closed over him. Instead, he reached down to hold
Feryn’s head and groaned out his approval in a drawn out “Yes.”
Feryn lingered for a few moments on the hard cock in his
mouth then withdrew it to move down to Joshua’s balls, big and full, furry eggs
now being pulling into Feryn’s mouth.
Feryn’s mouth wrapped each, suckling on them, rolling them. He let the last one slide from his mouth and
lifted Joshua’s legs to open his ass and let his tongue find the way to
Joshua’s pink pucker.
His tongue drove in, exploring, wetting, loosening, opening. Feryn withdrew for a moment but only long
enough to move around into a 69 position and he fed his rock-hard cock to
Joshua. The long thin cock that had mesmerized Joshua for so long, pressed
against his lips and opened them, slowly sliding into his mouth. Feryn returned
to probing Joshua’s ass.
They continued like this both riding the waves of pleasure
their mouth’s were providing the other.
Feryn lifted up again breaking their contact, and he moved around
between Joshua’s legs, he positioned his cock and looked down, again, into
those hazel eyes, reflecting the forest in them, and he lowered his cock into
Joshua, in one long steady stroke.
Joshua’s eyes rolled back, his mouth fell open, and his cock
began to drip a steady stream of precum. So much that it pooled on his lower
belly and trailed off to his sides. Feryn left his cock buried in Joshua, then
leaned down and they kissed again. As
the kiss lingered, Feryn withdrew, slowly pulling out then just as slowly
re-entering Joshua.
They kept that rhythm for a few minutes before Joshua spoke
through the kiss: “Fuck me” he begged.
Feryn did just that, picking up his pace and tempo he began
to slam into Joshua, fucking him hard.
Joshua moaned out that he was cumming.
“I can’t hold it, I’m gonna cum” he cried, and his load
splashed across his belly and chest.
Left nipple, the valley between his pecks, the treasure trail and filled
his belly button. Feryn grunted and
thrust a few more times and sank all the way into Joshua and let his cock
unload, deep within.
Together, under the dappled sunshine, in the cool forest
air, they collapsed side by side onto the bed of leaves and slept.
Sometime later, Joshua came awake. He lay in a comfortable
bed, soft linens covered him, but he was otherwise naked. He was alone.
He felt clean and fresh and well rested. He sat up and looked around; he
appeared to be in a bedroom, a small chamber, wooden beams and leaves formed
the roof, the walls appeared to be logs, the floor rushes, all of the furniture
was wood and seemed grown more than built, he couldn’t explain it better even
to himself.
To his left was a doorway, there was no door, just strings
of small stones hung like a beaded curtain. He stood up and looked around for
clothes or a robe, something, anything, but finding nothing he grabbed the bed
covering and wrapping himself he stepped through the beaded curtain.
He entered into a living space, soft benches and chairs
lined the room, a table was set with refreshments. He was alone. He picked at the food on the table and
wandered the room. Opening one cabinet he found cloths and shucking the bed
linen he tried on some things and found that all the pieces appeared to be his
size. In the lower cabinet were slippers and a pair of sturdy boots, again his
size.
He dressed and looked around for a mirror to assess his look
but found none. His search did lead him
to a door, which he opened, and seeing that it led outside. He stepped out into
a beautifully formal garden, wild yet somehow constructed. Paths led through beds that were neatly wild
in their overgrowth. He could see that
he was in a forest glade, and he felt Feryn off to his right, but coming
nearer.
In moments he came into sight and drew near.
“Beloved, I’m glad you are awake.” He wrapped Joshua in his arms and kissed his
cheek, then his lips.
“Where am I” Joshua asked.
“You’re at my home, my people brought us here as we slept.”
“Is that normal?” He asked.
“I worked a heavy magic to heal you, to bring you here and
then our liaison left us both exhausted, so they took matters in hand to ensure
our comfort.” Feryn explained. “It’s
normal when someone works such magics that other’s would need to care for him
or her.”
Joshua paused for a moment, he could feel Feryn in his head,
his presence there, he sensed truth of the words that Faryn spoke. He followed
that link back to Feryn and he could feel the exhaustion there. And he realized
the depth of their bond, even more so than he had before, stronger and deeper,
more complete perhaps?
“You’re still tired,” Joshua, “You need to rest.”
“Then let us rest together, beloved.” Feryn took Joshua’s
hand and led him back inside and to the bedroom, the bed had been remade,
Joshua had no idea by who or how, as know one passed him.
Feryn lay on the bed and pulled Joshua down on top of him,
they kissed, gently at first, passion and need building in each of them. The link fed sensation from one to the other,
adding a mental stimulus to the physical.
It simply added to the intensity of both their feelings. Sensations flowed back and forth between
them. This sensation was deeper and more real than he’d previously felt during
their lovemaking, again he wondered at the new strength of the bond.
Feryn rolled them over, so that Joshua lay on his back on
the bedding. He climbed on top of Joshua
and lowered himself onto Joshua’s hard cock. The shared connection allowed
Joshua to feel his cock sink into Feryn, feeling the warmth of the ass wrapping
around him, while at the same time feeling the fullness the cock entering Feryn
created. It was confusing but also
erotically stimulating, turning him on even more. They fucked each other, that’s what it felt
like, like both of their cocks were in an ass.
Joshua’s eyes rolled back and he relished the double
sensation, feeling the man riding him but also knowing what his cock felt like
as it filled another’s ass. Above him,
Feryn rode with abandon, feeling the same double feeling that Joshua felt. Feryn began to stroke himself, and Joshua
felt that too, the hand gliding along the long thin shaft. The feeling of the head being teased, the build
up of sensation, merging with the anal stimulation. Joshua had felt a taste of this previously
but never this deep, never this intense.
His body simply couldn’t handle it and he started to cum. His balls contracted and his load rose up and
emptied into Feryn. Feryn, also lost in
the intensity of the sensation, lost his own load and his cum flew out across Joshua’s
furry chest.
When they both calmed down, Feryn took Joshua by the hand
again and led him outside to an outdoor shower area, he turned on the water,
which was warm and refreshing rather than hot or cold. They stood under the spray, wrapped in each
other’s arms.
They soaped each other and rinsed, one cleaning the
other. Joshua knelt and took Feryn’s
soft member into his mouth, he worked his way up and down the shaft and could
feel it begin to harden his mouth and throat.
Feryn stopped him and lifted him back to a standing
position. Joshua’s cock was hard now but
Feryn ignored it, in favour of a kiss. Long and deep, tongues probed into each
other, but that was as far as Feryn allowed it to go before he stepped back.
He handed Joshua a cloth to dry himself and did the same for
his own body, remaining out of reach of Joshua.
Joshua could sense the need to talk and he kept back.
When dry, they both dressed again and left the cottage. They talked as they walked.
“You know that I cannot take you back to your world, as is.
Your people would not understand or accept the recovery and there would be too
many questions. Questions, if you answered, they would thing you insane.”
“You mean I have to stay here with you?” Joshua asked.
“You could, but is that something you want?” Feryn offered,
“I know you are conflicted, wanting to go home, wanting to stay.”
“I am, yes,” Joshue replied, “I need you, I feel lost when
I’m home without you, but I also know that I don’t really belong in this world,
your world. This world was never meant
for humans.”
“There have been humans that have stayed before, you would
not be the first. I’ve been around for
centuries of time as your people measure and will live centuries more. If you stayed you would age and die normally,
we have no magics to prevent that, but you would age normally. Eventually you will die, I will have to watch
you age and die. We can help with your
health, but we cannot stop the process.” Feryn seemed sad.
“I see. So, my life
would be like the blink of an eye for you.
Come and gone so quickly.?”
“In essence, yes.” He looked into Joshua’s hazel eyes. “I
want you to know what will happen if you stay. If we break the bond, if we
return you, you will believe it all a dream, like it didn’t really happen.”
“I don’t think I can make that big a decision like this, I
think I really need to think about the ramifications,”
He could feel Feryn’s disappointment, and it merged with his
own. He was scared of what would happen if he stayed, scared more of what would
happen if he didn’t.
Feryn looked into his eyes and pulled him into a kiss, and a
fog formed around them.
He woke up back in a hospital bed. A nurse was hovering.
“Welcome back,” she said as she smiled back at him.
“Back?” he questioned.
“Well, you’ve been in a medically induced coma for a few
months now, after a hiking accident. Your
doctor will be better able to explain,” she said.
“I don’t understand,” He replied. “A comma? What are you
talking about?” he reached for Feryn but
there was nothing there, or was there?
He thought maybe just a trace. He reached, strained but could not pull
it closer.
He recalled Feryn’s words. “A dream” he said to himself but
out loud.
“A dream?” The nurse asked.
“Was it all a dream?” he asked himself.
“I’m sorry were you dreaming? That’s not unusual for people
in coma’s, at least some studies suggest so.” She tucked his sheets in, “Let me
get your doctor, he can better explain things for you.”
As she left, Joshua leaned back and reached again for Feryn,
he couldn’t be sure that he felt anything, maybe there was something there, so
far away.
He was released from the hospital the next week; his brother
and sister-in-law picked him up and took him home. He returned to work, still confused. Months passed and he found himself searching
for that valley again. Trying to find
his way back. It wasn’t a dream, he
decided, it couldn’t have been.
He’d made his decision.
Thanks. Enjoy your writing. How are you 2?
